A new version of the 1982 film Blade Runner is to be released on DVD later this year. Apparently Ridley Scott was never happy with the 1992 director’s cut, saying that he was rushed and not able to spend the time on it he wanted. After a few years of wrangling with Warner over rights, Blade Runner: Final Cut will have a limited 25th anniversary run in 2007. Following that, a special edition DVD will be released with all three versions.
